01Who We Are & Scope of This Policy
Intelligence Ventures ("Intelligence Ventures," "IV," "we," "us," or "our") is a venture capital firm that invests in AI-powered healthcare companies at the pre-seed and seed stage. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you:
- Visit our website at intelligencevc.com, including subdomains such as report.intelligencevc.com (together, the "Site");
- Apply for funding or to the IV Accelerator program;
- Express interest in, or participate in, our fund as a current or prospective investor;
- Download our research publications or subscribe to updates;
- Attend our events, including demo days; or
- Otherwise communicate or do business with us.
This Policy does not cover the practices of companies we do not control, such as our portfolio companies or the third-party platforms linked from the Site (see Section 12).
02Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact details. Name, email address, phone number, job title, company name, and location when you contact us, subscribe to updates, register for an event, or schedule a meeting with us (including through scheduling tools such as Calendly).
- Funding application information. When you apply for funding or to the IV Accelerator, we collect the information described in our application form, including founder names, titles, and contact details; company name, location, website, and LinkedIn profiles; descriptions of your business and technology; funding round details such as raise goals, amounts raised, valuation, and target close dates; the names of participating investors; and any materials you upload, such as pitch decks and supporting files.
- Investor information. If you express interest in investing in our funds, we (and our fund administration partners, such as AngelList) may collect your contact details, accreditation status and supporting verification required under SEC Rule 506(c), tax and banking details necessary for subscriptions and distributions, and related onboarding information.
- Research & newsletter signups. When you download publications such as our State of AI Healthcare report, we collect your name, email address, company, job role, location, and your indicated interests (for example, LP opportunities or advisory services).
- Communications. The contents of emails, messages, forms, and meeting notes when you correspond or meet with us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device information, pages viewed, time spent, referring pages, and approximate (city-level) location, collected through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics (see Section 6).
- Log and infrastructure data. Our hosting and content-delivery providers (such as Netlify and Cloudflare) maintain standard server logs, and fonts on the Site are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load.
Information from other sources
- Public and professional sources. In the ordinary course of evaluating investments and conducting market research, we collect publicly available information about companies and founders from sources such as company websites, LinkedIn, press coverage, industry databases, and regulatory filings.
- Referrals and network. Co-investors, portfolio founders, advisors, and other contacts may share your information with us, for example when making an introduction.
03How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Review and evaluate funding and accelerator applications, conduct due diligence, and manage our investment pipeline;
- Operate the IV Accelerator, including mentorship programming and demo days;
- Manage relationships with current and prospective investors, including accreditation verification and fund administration, reporting, and compliance obligations;
- Respond to inquiries and communicate with you, including scheduling and preparing for meetings;
- Deliver publications you request and send occasional updates on our research, portfolio, and programs (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Produce aggregated market research, such as our State of AI Healthcare report series (published research does not identify individuals without their consent);
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site, including analytics, debugging, and fraud and abuse prevention;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and audit obligations, including securities laws; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
04A Note on Funding Applications
Like most venture firms, we review a large volume of opportunities, many of which are similar to one another. Unless we have signed a written agreement with you stating otherwise, materials submitted to us — including pitch decks, applications, and supporting files — are received on a non-confidential basis, as noted in our application form.
We handle application materials with professional care and use them for evaluation purposes. As part of ordinary diligence and syndication, we may share application materials and our notes with members of our team, our advisors and mentors, and prospective co-investors in our network. If you would prefer that specific materials not be shared outside our team, tell us and we will accommodate where practical.
07Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete or de-identify it. In practice:
- Application and pipeline records are retained while an opportunity remains active and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can revisit companies as they progress and track our pipeline over time;
- Investor records are retained for the life of the relevant fund plus any period required by securities, tax, and accounting rules;
- Marketing lists are retained until you unsubscribe, after which we suppress your address;
- Analytics data is retained per our analytics configuration and then expires; and
- Correspondence is retained in line with ordinary business record-keeping and legal-hold obligations.
08Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encryption in transit (TLS) across the Site, access controls and multi-factor authentication on our systems, and reliance on established, security-audited infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.
09International Visitors & Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and the Site and our operations are directed primarily at the US and Canada. Personal information we collect is processed and stored in the United States (and in other countries where our service providers operate), which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
Canada. We handle personal information of Canadian founders and contacts in accordance with PIPEDA's requirements for consent, limited collection, and safeguards.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland. If you interact with us from these regions, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (for example, evaluating your application), legitimate interests (operating our business, evaluating investments, securing the Site), consent (marketing emails and report downloads), and legal obligation. Where we transfer personal data out of these regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with our service providers. You also have the rights described in Section 10, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:

- Objection / restriction — object to or ask us to limit certain processing; and
- Non-discrimination — we will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
US state privacy laws
Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia) may exercise the rights above subject to those laws' conditions. For California residents, the categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 2 (identifiers; professional and commercial information; internet activity; and inferences related to your stated interests), collected for the purposes in Section 3 and shared as described in Section 5. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information other than as permitted for providing our services.
Exercising your rights

We will verify your identity (typically by confirming control of the email address associated with your information), respond within the time required by applicable law, and explain our reasoning if we must decline a request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows; if a request is denied, you may appeal by replying to our response and asking that it be escalated.
11Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for business audiences and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at info@intelligencevc.com and we will delete it.
12Third-Party Sites & Services
The Site links to third-party platforms we do not control, including AngelList (investor onboarding), LinkedIn (our company page and profiles), Calendly (meeting scheduling), and the websites of our portfolio companies. Information you provide directly to those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
13Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as our practices or legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will provide additional notice, such as an email to affected contacts or a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after an update means the revised Policy applies.
